What you need for this position:
  • Solid background in the fundamentals of software development with a deep understanding of C and C derivative languages.
  • Design, code, test, debug, document, and install software in environments such as Windows, Android, C, C++, C#, JAVA, and SQL.
  • Able to assist in information gathering requirements and translate those requirements into technical specifications and design documents.
  • Self-starter and self-directing software development engineer.
  • Must be creative and passionate about designing, developing, implementing and operating multi-tiered, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services.
  • Able to work in a diverse environment of languages and technologies.
  • Must possess flexibility, speed and offer quality learning to a diverse team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good working knowledge of dealing with security concerns in networked applications.
  • Ability to clearly articulate design ideas while being receptive to constructive criticism.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, especially in multilayered application stacks.
  • Communicate clearly (orally and in writing) with engineering, management and the customer, as required.
  • Ability to function with little direction and minimum guidance.
  • Willingness to provide 24/7 on-call monitoring and support.

What you will be doing:
  • Application development using C derivative languages and SQL
  • Design, develop, test, document, deliver and support large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications, tools, systems and services.
  • Assist in gathering and analyzing business and functional requirements, and translate requirements into technical specifications for robust, scalable, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture.
  • Serve as a key technical resource in the full development cycle from start to finish such as conception, design, implementation, and testing to standardized documentation, delivery, and maintenance.
  • Produce comprehensive usable software documentation.
  • Recommends changes in the development, maintenance, and systems in accordance with the minimum standards.
  • Ability to follow written specifications and adherence to standard coding practices.
  • Implement changes and improvements to legacy systems.
  • Deal with integration issues that involve multiple modules and/or multiple developers.
  • Load and unit test all applications
  • Maintain up to date code documentation
Report daily progress to managers and check in changes to source control

Extensive background investigation may be required. Candidates must be willing to relocate to Las Vegas, Nevada.
