Position Description
Responsible for managing quality in an AS9100 aerospace manufacturing operation and AS9110 aerospace maintenance operation.    Provide inspection, process control, technical assistance to ensure safe and reliable aircraft, aircraft components, and equipment are provided in accordance with technical contract requirements.  Ensure product conformance with technical publications, directives, reports, drawings, specifications, and other contract requirements.  Confers and advises maintenance, management, and engineering personnel to solve problems.  Inspects and reviews maintenance source documents, inspection records, and other related forms used in aircraft, vehicle, and equipment maintenance to ensure forms and records are current, and comply with established procedures, Army directives, and contract specifications.  Implements and enforces quality policies and procedures that meet the requirements of ISO 9001/AS9100/AS9110 and other higher level requirements.  Strong professional customer service skills are required.  This a supervisory position and employee will direct functions and actions of quality organization and report to executive management.   Employee will be responsible for hiring and performance management within the quality organization.
Basic Requirements (Education, Experience, Special Skills):
  • BS degree preferred
  • Management/Supervisory experience required.
  • 10 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance and/or aerospace manufacturing.
  • 10 years of technical experience with aerospace drawings, military specifications in wiring, soldering, cable assembly, painting, structural assembly is required.
  • Experience with Manufacturing Operations registered to AS9100 quality standard is required.
  • Experience in rotary or fixed wing aircraft quality inspection is preferred.
  • Experience with AS9110 Maintenance Operations, DCMA 8210.1/AR95-20 Flight and Ground Operations, FAA Part 145 Repair Stations is preferred.
  • FAA A&P is desirable.
  • AS9100/9110 Audit Certification is desirable.
