Job Summary: 

Responsible for leading and overseeing all manufacturing resources, processes and facilities, including personnel, materials, equipment and supplies activities.  Be a champion for safety while maintaining optimum operations by assigning workers, creating and keeping work and production schedules, hiring and training new employees; focused and unsurpassed service to both internal and external customers, including coordination among all manufacturing departments, as well as with sales, customer service, graphics, purchasing and accounting; and compliance with gaming authority requirements that affect product.   Continual collecting and reviewing of data to find places to implement LEAN principles for reduction of waste and opportunities for improvement, monitor production equipment to assure that it remains in good working order and repair or replacement of the equipment when needed. Also responsible for nurturing and maintaining a culture that produces quality product manufactured efficiently and cost-effectively; team participation and support of team members; and identification of process problems and issues, as well as solutions.

Principal Accountabilities: 

  • Manage Manufacturing Resources and Processes
  1. Direct and manage plant operations for production, maintenance, quality and other production-related activities
  2. Develops a plant-operating plan that is consistent with and supports the business plan. 
  3. Determines what company resources are required to successfully implement the business plan and works to secure those resources for the plant.  
  4. Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards
  5. Monitor staffing to determine the amount of employees required
  6. Analyzes and resolves daily production problems
  7. Determine the amount of raw materials required using lean manufacturing tools
  8. Implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs
  9. Develops employees through training and involvement programs to create a team environment that has decision-making authority throughout the organization 

 

  •  Manage Product Quality/Cost
  1. Control and minimize labor overtime, freight and production costs and repair expenses 
  2. Ensures standards for product quality, equipment and operator performance are maintained and that cost-effective technology is used to maximize production. 
  3. Implement cost effective systems to control operating expenditures, manpower, wages, etc. 
  4. Develop systems to monitor hourly, daily, monthly, and yearly quality standards as well as continuous improvement through lean manufacturing implementation 
  5. Analyze quality control and production requirements to detect and correct problems 

 

  • Manage Manufacturing Facilities
  1. Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace, or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary
  2. Maintain the daily plant conditions and ensure organization of materials and overall cleanliness of the facility
